We're supposed to say here that "it.canada is a team of dynamic individuals." That is, we are capable of acting as a unit while retaining our distinctiveness, and are all capable of independent activity.
But seriously, folks, here's who we are.
Paul Chvostek is it.canada's network and security person and chief systems administrator. He is also an experienced application developer and provides computer and networking experience that spans three decades. Paul is a DNRC member.
Philip Mullis is our specialist in closed-source operating systems, and assists with security and administration of such software. He is also a talented web developer and application programmer in open source development environments. He has the dubious distinction of being the only staff member who is actually enthusiastic about the sales process, so that's what he's in charge of. Philip also helps customers with web development issues, and is happy to assist with your site development or data management requirements.
Marcus Harris somehow manages to remain polite and friendly despite the fact that he's possibly the most abused member of the staff. Charged with the vital yet soul-numbing responsibility of placating frustrated customers, and a system- and network-administrator in training, Marcus answers support and billing email, and sometimes has pager duty after hours.
More - A number of other folks assist as-required on contract work doing unix and network consuling, and open-source programming. If you have what it takes to join us (a winning personality, style, flair, a passion for learning, and at least a few years working with unix (Solaris, *BSD, GNU/Linux, etc. and open source tools), we'd love to consider you for our team. Send a resume (in a non-vendor-proprietary format) to hr@it.ca if you'd like to join us.
