Dedicated IP addresses can be purchased for $5 per month once an account is set up. Dedicated IP addresses are a technical requirement for SSL (secure) web hosting and virtual FTP hosting, and can be helpful if you would like to maintain 100% compatibility with all web browsers, even very very old ones. There is a $50 setup fee to install an SSL certificate or virtual FTP host. We can set you up with an Entrust if you need the marketing clout of a brand-name certificate signing, but we use and recommend InstantSSL SSL certs at US$49, which are perfectly fine if all your goal is encryption rather than marketing.

We offer extended "pre-paid" service (i.e. year-in-advance, quarterly or bi-quarterly billing) for your convenience, but because of the impossibility of predicting future site traffic, sites with wildly varying traffic may incur extra charges beyond what's been pre-paid. If you over-pay your account, we'll be happy to apply a credit to your account and charge monthly invoices against that credit. If your account comes up short, your next invoice will reflect the adjusted amount owing. And you can always check your account balance and payment history using our on-line admin system.
