An it.canada FREE hosting account is a great way to get your web presence started. You get many of the same features as you would with our larger packages, with zero cost.

How can we do all this for free? Well, we hope that as your web presence grows, you'll upgrade to a paying account. We protect ourselves from high volume free accounts by placing bandwidth limits that disable free accounts with excessive use, and we reserve the right to place banner advertisements at the top of free sites, though we aren't doing that with any sites at present.

The basics you get with the FREE account are:

This FREE service allows you to register a subdomain under one of a number of domains owned by it.canada. If you want to use this package with your own domain, you can do so by transferring your domain to it.canada and using our web forwarding service to point the domain at your free URL. (Or, if your registrar provides forwarding service, you can use that too; contact your registrar for details.) If you're not using your own domain, you can set up free hosting under one of a number of domains we've set aside for just this task.

Also, what you don't get with this account is the extra functionality of custom CGI scripting, or detailed log file analysis tools, or custom email services like multiple mailboxes, webmail, autoresponders or advanced spam filters. If you need those, you should upgrade to a Budget or Business account.
